Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for the financial management of five legal entities in the Middle East (including Saudi Arabia):

FMC Technologies GMBH – Dubai Branch
FMC Technologies Saudi Arabia Ltd
TechnipFMC Abu Dhabi
Advanced Oil Services LLC
FMC Petroleum Services Ltd
In addition, the position is also responsible for Middle East (excl Saudi) and Saudi Geo-market Financials from Singapore entity as well as Africa geomarket legal entities.

The major function of this position covers the following:

Leads financial operation teams across Middle East, Saudi and potentially Africa (circa 25 staff)
Attract, retain and develop a talented group of financial leaders
In charge of the legal entities included in the role’s scopes
Plays a key role in bids and project reviews. Accountable to review tenders and contracts on a financial perspective and work on mitigating risks and providing recommendations
Needs to develop, optimize and track key performance metrics/trends : P&L, Cash, Operation profitability within the plants and the business and will need to
Owns the budgeting/forecasting process/long term financial plans
Recommends, develops, implements and monitors compliance on Financial practice, policies and processes
Analyses and Leads process improvements to create “actionable insights” for the Geomarkets to improve operating results and cash
Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost-saving and profit/cash maximization
Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to develop creative yet simple solutions to complex issues which improve performance Provide financial support and advice as a Business partner to the regional business leader

Job Responsibility

This position supervises a current team of 25 (Finance Manager, Finance Leads and Accountants in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and Africa) with 5 direct reports (including Africa).

  • The employee is expected to have frequent contacts with internal customers to provide accounting and finance support, resolve issues and implement process improvements to manage business profitability, maintain strong internal controls, drive productive behavior and increase efficiency.
  • The employee will also be the liaison with internal and external auditors, tax authority, bankers, sales representatives and stakeholders.
    Mainly office environment with time spent in the production floor and warehouse.
  • The incumbent is expected to split his time between the Abu Dhabi office and the Saudi Arabia office as required to support the business in the Middle East. Significant travel will be required, both within the Middle East as well as other Surface EAST locations from time to time.
  • This position provides support to the Region Vice Presidents and the organization by overseeing the Finance function for the Middle East business and Africa, ensuring timely reporting and tax compliance, statutory compliance and proper internal controls through the implementation of effective accounting systems and processes and by maximizing leverage on resources.

The individual is expected to:

  • Work independently to accomplish objectives and resolve non-recurring issues. There is a wide degree of creativity and latitude as we rely on the experience and judgment of the individual to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to assess, explain and forecast the financial impact on the profitability of the business.
  • Be able to produce integrated solutions to issues and, to develop and implement processes for improvement related to the functional area of expertise
  • Implement strategic program and policies for the functional group and lead organization change to support the business growth
  • Have full supervisory responsibility for his/her team including but not limited to
  • Lead the team to achieve the team objectives through effective resource management,
  • Develop the team by coaching and providing constructive feedback
  • Interact with all levels of management to support business needs

Responsible for the accounting, tax and treasury activities including but not limited to:

  • Payroll processing and employee tax compliance
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Costing
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Value added tax, withholding tax and other indirect taxes
  • Fixed assets (including AFE processing and Capex tracking)
  • General ledger and financial (FRS) reporting
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Treasury activities (cash management, bankers’ guarantee, insurance etc.)
  • ERP testings, new implementations, etc (SAP is the standard for now)
  • Management of external services providers to meet country-specific requirements
  • Ensure compliance with FMC policies & standards, U.S. GAAP and the local statutory requirements and tax regulations. Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with FMC internal controls and increase productivity.

Responsible for costing the manufacturing activities in Saudi Arabia & UAE and service rates for the aftermarket business in the Middle East, including but not limited to:

  • Ensure timely and proper recognition of revenue and costs for month-end close in compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements
  • Review cost center expenses and highlight deviations from budget for corrective action
  • Provide monthly performance reports which include comprehensive analysis of manufacturing variances and business profitability
  • Provide 12-month rolling forecast
  • Oversee standard cost updates
  • Responsible for inventory accounting
  • Annual standard cost revaluation
  • Cycle counts
  • Annual stock obsolescence review
  • Inventory management to optimize working capital
  • Responsible for the annual budget as well as monthly forecasts and other corporate reporting requirements.
  • Provide support for management decision making pertaining to operations by identifying issues and proposing solutions for improvement and business growth through the development and utilization of analytical tools.
  • Assist in formulating and implementing business strategy.
  • Manage the Middle East Finance team including staffing, performance review, coaching and development
  • Be the liaison with internal and external auditors, tax authority, bankers, sales representatives and stakeholders
  • Lead ad hoc projects as assigned.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from a reputable University/Master’s degree in Finance
    Must be a qualified accountant
  • Strong knowledge of finance operation, accounting, costing, internal control and tax with at least 15 years of relevant work experience (including minimum 4 years as a Finance Manager in a MNC) in a manufacturing environment
  • International Experience required, preferably in the Middle East
  • Mega contract experience
  • Proficient in personal computer skills (spreadsheet, powerpoint, presentations)
  • Experience in ERP system, procedures and controls
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop a team
  • Excellent communication skills and strong inter-personal skills and cross functional problem solver
  • Proven business partner and team manager

Role and responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assessments on all incoming equipment from vendors / Customers and outgoing products for shipping under VMI.
  • Retrieve all MRBs and check for their correctness before storing.
  • Send NOI to customer QC for them to come and check the equipment before storing them under VMI.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Perform stage Quality inspection as required by the job which includes but not limited to:
  • Dimensional inspection
    NDT (MPI, LP, UT)
  • Hardness checks
  • Visual Checks
  • Light Band.
  • Thread inspection.
  • Coating inspection.
  • Performs SAP transactions after completion of QC operations.

Reporting: Quality Manager

Job Purpose

Field Service Engineer will provide customers with technical services and solutions. Shall successfully deliver and execute jobs such as preparation, installation, repair and maintenance of TechnipFMC Measurement Products and Systems.

  • Assignments often involve basic technical observations, resolving client issues.
  • Findings are most often summarized & reported to others for further analysis or to resolve the issues.
  • When attending to site for Service calls should be able to individually handle issues and capable of planning and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Continuously support clients with long term maintenance contracts.
Job Responsibility
  • Reports to MPS Aftermarket Manager
  • Field Service Engineer will provide customers with technical support and solutions. Will respond to customers via phone and on-site to troubleshoot, perform diagnostic tests, calibrate, perform repairs, and provide technical knowledge on most Smith Meter products as well as Metering systems and peripheral products.
  • Continuous contact with customers to support long-term service contracts. Provide technical support via telephone, e-mail to our customers.
  • Perform in-house product repair as required, warranty administration, and electronic board repair. Assist with the creation and maintenance of product literature and procedures, as well as contribute to customer training curriculum.
  • Assist with managing departmental assets (e.g. tools, test fixtures, and demo equipment). Accurately report departmental utilization, recovery, repair activity, and warranty cost to the Aftermarket Manager.
  • Be available on call to provide emergency assistance to customers all hours of the day, year-round including holidays, but excluding personal vacation.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Quality Assurance on quality and product performance issues and provide technical support to others internally when required.
  • Achieve service revenue growth through billable hours and high level of utilization.
  • Shall ensure proper field service practices, efficiency, quality standards, and the highest level of customer service.
  • Receive and follow-up customer calls to resolve all outstanding issues.
  • Participate in the development of diagnostic techniques and procedures. Perform special assignments as required by management.
  • Provide assistance in prioritizing repair activity, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Complete and maintain accurate repair reports, and timesheets.
  • Follow all HSE policies and procedures.
You are meant for this job if
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Instrumentation.
  • More than 5 years in a Field Service Engineer role with prior experience working in electrical, mechanical, control system or similar vocational training preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Must possess proper soldering techniques, electronic component diagnostics, and use of electronic circuit test equipment and calibration equipment.
  • Leadership capability and good aptitude. Knowledge of various aspects of Field Service.
  • Basic understanding of Flow Measurement, Engineering practices, design methods & Measurement calculations. Knowledge of Computerized control system with Man Machine Interface and communications.
  • Oil and Gas Industry Safety Standards and requirements. Hands on Service experience. Capable to Read, interpret & prepare applicable technical information. Control systems knowledge and maintenance of PLC and PC based control systems.
  • Must be familiar with API manual of petroleum measurement standards.
