- Build and lead a team of marketers across key functions that live (in) and breathe the MENA region
- Drive growth to achieve our goals in MENA by leading and orchestrating new product launches, building scalable processes for conversion, and expanding brand awareness
- Work closely with the Managing Directors in MENA as well as global operations to increase engagement and bring in new Consumer, Pro Trader, and Institutional clients
- Learn what clients need before they need it through direct research, surveys, competitive intel, and market sizing

Compliance Testing Associate – Middle East
Responsibilities

- Represent the company as a professional compliance expert (i.e. AML/CTF and other regulations) with all parties, internal and external
- Build test procedures and implement tests in all lines of businesses (LOBs) and legal entities
- Conduct all responsibilities as Compliance Test Associate:
- Review applicable laws, rules, regulations, and/or policies to assess controls
- Determine scope and objective of each review process
- Develop and document test scripts, sample methodologies and size
- Perform test process according to the test plan
- Manage documentation of the test processes by preparing correctly and clearly to understand workpapers
- Ability to review, analyze, and document findings from sample testing
- Ensure testing is completed timely and accurately according to applicable standards
- Communicate clearly and effectively to stakeholders of test results on any issues/concerns/recommendations
- Analyze exceptions and make recommendations to enhance internal controls and/or improve efficiencies
- Determine root cause on identified exceptions
- Maintain good relationship and collaborate with other lines of businesses and stakeholders
- Manage various inboxes and provide timely responses to all stakeholdersIdentify gap/deficiencies and provide results to proper stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate findings and/or potential regulatory violations
- Maintain outstanding findings are rectified timely and according to remediation time frame
- Conduct ad hoc testing/project at the request from Compliance Testing Manager, Compliance Officers, Senior Management and/or other LOBs
- Ability to work across multiple team dynamic
- Attention to detail and accuracy is key
- Develop strong relationships with various business partners both in and outside of Compliance
- Communicate effectively to coordinate cross-functional projects

- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- Be located in the Middle East
- 4+ years’ experience in a compliance role at a financial institution or equivalent with increasing levels of responsibility
- 4 years minimum experience in Compliance testing/audit role, or equivalent
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
- CAMS certification and/or other compliance related credentials preferred
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to take ownership of work product and consistently deliver results
- Adaptability to global business needs
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of assigned high net worth clients, develop new business from existing client base, and seek fresh commercial opportunities. You will have a unique flair for client communication, understand client behavior and build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients.
This is a remote, EMEA based, role. We require candidates with fluency in English and Portuguese
What You’ll Do:

- Manage an assigned portfolio of clients and be an advocate for Kraken’s full product suite
- Act as the point of contact for building long-term relationships with clients based on trust and respect
- Be available for client reach-out and communication via multiple sources

Who You Are:

- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- 2+ years Account Management/Relationship Management experience
- Experience in handling high net worth clients and a demonstrable ability to comfortably communicate with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Experience with crypto markets trading systems and knowledge of current trends facing traders/trading desks directly

- Be responsible for the day to day operations of the Kraken MENA business
- Be the accountable individual for all queries pertaining to the operation of the platform, including from both external and internal stakeholders

- Gain an in-depth understanding of operational risks (including technology security risk, operational resilience)

- Become a director of the Board of regional or local operating entities and be involved with the relevant internal governance committees and decision making bodies

- Oversee the technical implementation of new regulatory requirements as they arise and assess the impact from an operational standpoint of new regulatory initiatives

Requirements

- Graduate degree or professional certifications in a relevant field
- 8+ years holding increasing responsibility in Operations functions, including at least once holding the Head of Operations position at a bank, fintech or financial institution, ideally with experience as a company director
- Experience in or advanced knowledge of the crypto asset space is a must have
- Knowledge of the GCC regulatory environment, and upcoming developments is preferable
- Familiarity with anti-money laundering and know-your-customer best practices in GCC markets is a bonus
- Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels across technical and non-technical groups
- Ability to lead in a fast growing company environment with focused and hardworking individuals
