Operations Control Senior Officer
Job Location: United Arab Emirates

About The Job
The Operations Controller (OC) is responsible for functional oversight of all actions and decisions within the Network Control Centre (NCC) and for all flight operations including Irregular Operations (IRROPS). The OC works with representatives of all departments in the NCC to maintain a safe and timely schedule
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor all flights to ensure flydubai network integrity.
- Align flying programme in line with operational and maintenance requirements.
- Exercise operational control and flight supervision. Decide on initiation, continuation, diversion, and cancellation of flights due to operational or environmental factors.
- Arrange and coordinate the re-routing and/or re-planning of flights as necessary.
- Provide guidance and assistance to all the NCC personnel and contract service providers dealing with technical/mechanical defects and any other aircraft support services issues.
- Co-ordinate with Flight Dispatch to provide quick flight planning assistance when desired by the Commander of an aircraft.
- Perform daily analysis of all operational delays across the flydubai network.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience/ Knowledge / Skills
- University Degree or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, airline operations preferred
Knowledge / Skills:
- Knowledge of CAP371
- Flight planning is advantageous
- Ability to decipher weather reports and NOTAMS
- Knowledge of aircraft performance
Certificate / License:
Current GCAA/FAA Flight Dispatch Licence or the ability to meet the requirements of GCAA CAR PART II is preferable. This includes training certificates in the following subjects Air Law, Performance, Meteorology, CRM, Navigation, Principles of Flight.
Additional Requirements:
- Employee must be willing to work shifts – both dayshifts and nightshifts.
- Exercise of operational control and flight supervision. In the interest of safety the Operations Control
- Senior Officer is responsible for the initiation, continuation, diversion, and cancellation (termination) of
- flights due to operational or environmental factors.

Internal Auditor -IT
Location: United Arab Emirates
About The Role:
To lead IT Audit engagements and to support the overall delivery of Internal Audit Services in line with flydubai Internal Audit Charter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops annual Audit plan in areas of Information Technology including infrastructure, applications, and cloud hosted services.
- Independently carries out IT Audit engagements on critical applications supporting airline operations, cyber security and IT services.
- Engages with IT and Business units for project reviews and consulting engagements as independent IT assurance provider.
- Carries out ad-hoc/special assignments as directed by Head of Internal Audit, in order to investigate incidents, situations, suspected fraud or misconduct and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
- Assesses and provides guidance to Management on implementing and maintaining compliance to information security and data privacy standards such as PCI DSS, ISR, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
- Updates IT Audit universe as per changing business environment, assess the strategic adoption and use of new technologies.
- Ensures that Audit assignments are conducted in accordance with the International Auditing Standards and Departmental Code of Ethics.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with business units / department management (SVP, VP, Senior Manager and
- Manager levels) throughout the Audit process, including developing a mutually agreed action plan.
- Maintains Audit management system by periodic follow-up and action plan updates.
- Operates across all areas of the business as subject matter expert in IT Audit with minimal direct supervision.
Minimum Education Level Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
- Computer Science/IT
Experience:
- Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) – 6
Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements:
- CISA is mandatory.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CRISC and ISO 27001 are desirable.
- Cloud professional certifications from AWS, Azure are desirable

About The Job:
Assist with a wide range of strategic network planning tasks conducted by the department to help improve and optimise flydubai’s network, whether researching new route opportunities, analysing existing routes, or looking at other ways to improve aircraft utilisation and network profitability.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Research new airports and conduct route evaluations to identify financially viable new routes.
- Assist with the production and coordination of strategy projects and initiatives (e.g. long term plans, future hub opportunities, fleet acquisition, aircraft reconfiguration etc.) internally and with other departments and stakeholders, developing written reports or presentations.
- Review and analyse weekly and monthly route results to flag up anomalies, emergence of competitive trends, opportunities and threats.
- Prepare and develop management reports, e.g. market share and connections as well as analysis for monthly financial results meetings.
- Identify, source and maintain statistics that will add business intelligence to the planning process, e.g. tourism statistics, schedules data, traffic statistics.
- Assist as needed with fleet planning exercises such as new aircraft assessment, cabin reconfiguration and potential changes to the fleet mix.
- Prepare the Budget Operating Plan documents for distribution to senior management.
- Assist with other network planning strategy projects as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
• Minimum degree level qualification in Economics, Business, Mathematics, or Science discipline. A Post graduate qualification in Aviation/Airline Management preferred.
Experience:
• Typically, should have four to six years’ experience in a competitive commercial airline environment. Three to four years’ experience in a Network Planning/Scheduling role. Candidates with similar experience from Commercial Analysis or Financial Analysis backgrounds would be considered provided that their current role provides them exposure to both cost and revenue analysis.
Knowledge / Skills:
• Must be expert in Excel statistical techniques, using pivot tables etc., and capable of analysing large data sets.
Additional Requirements:
• Candidates must have a sound grasp of aircraft performance and airline economics. Solid understanding of commercial, operations and finance roles within an airline.
• Sound understanding of network planning.
• Problem solving skills are critical to the role.
