Job Description

Assistant Store Operations Manager

Department: Retail Offline

Location: Dubai, UAE

JOB PURPOSE:

Through your passion for the brand and professionalism you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing all aspects of the store’s back of house. You will ensure that excellent service is provided to the store staff and effective communication is maintained with departments and external providers to the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To support the Store Manager with all procedures put in place to streamline and safe guard the store. To ensure that the store operates in accordance with store and company administration systems and procedures and to minimise losses including Omnichannel and stock pull back.
  • To effectively use space and stock in the back of house to maximise productivity and minimise stock loss and management of the team and resources.
  • To lead the stockroom team, including talent acquisition, developing and nurturing the back of house team to influence and drive store standards, productivity and the client experience.
  • To manage aftersales process (alterations, repairs, personalisation), including co-ordination with on-site tailors/external vendors to elevate the client experience.
  • To manage the FOH replenishment of all stock and non-stock articles to support the client experience including packaging, props and refreshments.
  • To work closely with Retail Standards and Operations team regarding store issues such as deliveries, dispatches, uniforms, facilities & maintenance, procedures and Health and Safety.
  • To support the Store Manager to manage the Asset and Profit Protection team to effectively reduce shrinkage.
  • To support the store manager with all aspects of inventory control and any stock related collaboration with marketing, client engagement, merchandising, visual merchandising, facilities or any other such department.
  • To maintain the highest standard with regards to cleaning, maintenance and Health and Safety including leading any locally required legislation.
  • To manage the cash office / administrator to ensure all cash and payment procedures are followed.

PERSONAL PROFILE:

  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Ability to work in a busy team environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business
  • 1-2 years management experience
  • Previous administration experience and cash handling experience
  • Previous experience with SAP desirable
  • Excellent understanding of all programs on Microsoft Office
  • Passion for technology and proven ability to embrace new technology

The Client Advisor builds relationships with Burberry’s new and existing clients, delivering a personalised and elevated experience with commercial success.

Reporting to the store management, the Client advisor will inspire our clients by conveying passion for the brand, fashion and luxury products.

As an expert in client engagement and service, the client advisor demonstrates a high level of knowledge in styling and selling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SERVICE AND SALES

Meet and exceed individual and store sales and other commercial KPIs

Through storytelling and passion for the brand, inspire our clients creating desire and love for Burberry with every client interaction

Provide a luxury service and demonstrate knowledge and expertise in product, fashion and styling

Follow the Client journey to elevate the Client experience in the store: Ensure a great initial impression; discover your client, be a product and styling expert and close the sale to maintain the relationship with the client.

Be efficient in following-up and delivering after-sales services to our clients

Contribute to the daily operations of the store, by maintaining high luxury standards in both front and back of house, including appropriate level of product and replenishment, support with inventory management, markdowns and stockroom maintenance when required

Follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures. Use visual techniques to maintain visual standards according to Burberry guidelines

Foster team work and a positive work climate

Build meaningful relationships with Clients

Work by appointment to provide a personalised service and build relationships with our clients to promote loyalty and incremental purchases.

JOB PURPOSE

Supporting the Head of Retail, this role’s key purpose is to plan and implement operational strategies in the region to ensure operations functions are in compliance with corporate brand standards and health and safety policy. This role will also support the execution of regional solutions and Corporate initiatives to drive Operations Excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the execution of regional solutions and Corporate initiatives to drive Operations Excellence.
  • In partnership with Store Managers, ensure the store has substantial operational support to match customer traffic flows and operational demands to enhance customer experience and sales
  • In Partnership with Store Managers, manage the Back of House (including Stockroom, Tailoring and Monogramming center) and all related policies and processes i.e. deliveries (potentially overnight), dispatches, inventory etc
  • Review and assessment of spare parts, repairs and alterations on a country level to ensure process is efficient and cost effective
  • In line with the Global Retail Standards and Operations Strategy, develop yearly, quarterly and monthly plans to be executed though Retail
  • Assist the Head of Retail in overseeing the Asset and Profit Protection function influencing service delivery and minimising loss
  • Ensure all Health and Safety legislation and processes are adhered to
