Role Purpose
To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English and to support the wider aims of British Council and its cultural relations mission.

Main Accountabilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups taking into account individual learning styles
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout the course, and actively promote learner autonomy
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials and related services, in order to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the teaching team
  • Complete teaching related administrative tasks to specified standards
  • Actively engage in professional development and performance management to ensure quality and high standards in teaching and learning, and maintain British Council’s position at the forefront of best ELT practices
  • Contribute to the development of lasting, mutually beneficial relationships by enhancing students’ understanding of contemporary UK
  • Support local marketing and promotional strategy, and assist the teaching centre team in delivering excellent customer service
  • Ensure safeguarding and guidelines are applied and upheld in line with standards and policy for the areas of Child Protection, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and Health and safety

About You
What we’re looking for is someone with:

  • High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module
  • First degree
  • Cambridge CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL followed by 2 years’ relevant teaching experience.
  • 2 years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience
  • Experience in teaching relevant age groups:
    • Adults General English 18+ (800+ hours)
  • And one or more of the following
    • Young learners aged 6 to 10 (400+ hours)
    • Young learners aged 11 to 13 (400+ hours)
    • Young learners aged 14 to 17 (400+ hours)
  • Current holder of valid UAE residence visa (British Council will not provide visa)
  • Ability to provide No Objection Certificate from current sponsor

Main Accountabilities:

Subject/Sector expertise

  • Develop and establish a strong global customer acquisition and sales growth plan for our paid Marketing channels
  • Own all paid marketing channels from end-to-end (SEO, PPC, Retargeting, Display, Native, Paid Sponsorships)
  • Daily monitoring of ROI, budgets and campaign performance across all paid Marketing channels to ensure a strong return on investment and efficient CAC

Minimum/essential

  • Proven experience running performance marketing campaigns through digital paid Marketing channels, including search, display, programmatic and driving performance through digital experiences
  • Experience in analysing data to be applied for decision making process and strategy

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support and assist the Examinations Business Development team in business development activities, B2B contracts management, responding to service-related queries of partners, including generating and producing MIS reports. The role will also support in developing and maintaining partner relationships and enhancing opportunities with key accounts to meet business related targets. The primary responsibility involves supporting the team in all administrative tasks in relation to B2B customers and support B2B contracts and records management.

Main Accountabilities:

B2B Contracts Management:

  • New contracts creation
  • Monitoring the expiry of existing contracts, as well as initiating & completing the renewal process for existing contracts (1 month in advance of expiry date)
  • Maintaining of soft copies of signed contract on shared drive
  • Uploading and updating contracts register on InTend portal
  • Updating income register and expenditure register based on contracts uploaded

Support for Business Development Activities:

  • Sending vendor creation requests to the Finance team and follow-up for the same
  • Inventory Management of marketing collateral, partner giveaways and the IELTS Essential Guides stock
  • Generate and Validate Partner Referral and Venue Fee Reports for B2B partners by coordinating with Operations and other relevant teams involved
  • Monthly report generation for various MIS reports
  • Support the Account Relationship Manager to present IELTS Information Sessions, IELTS Tips & Techniques Presentations, new Partner onboarding and ORS training
  • Regularly follow-up with partners on outstanding debts, based on Aged-Debt-Report received from Finance team
  • Periodic monitoring and update of Session-Fill-rate and Session-opening.
  • Support Account Relationship Manager to collate Market and Customer Intelligence data related to Market-Split.

Partner support:

  • Receives and responds to enquiries from/to partners
  • Being a specific point of reference on queries relating to an area of nominated expertise or responsibility. Identifies where more complex issues require resolution by others and refers them on accordingly
  • Recognises and understands the impact of incidents arising (e.g. complaints, resourcing problems, logistical or technical difficulties) and proactively alerts the Account Relationship Manager to any issues of concern that are likely to impact service/project/task delivery or customer experience.

Managing self & others:

  • Plans and prioritises own work activities, responding to changing requirements to ensure effective delivery of responsibilities over a daily/weekly time horizon
  • Tasks and coordinates others (e.g. internal colleagues or external contractors/suppliers) to complete time-limited, straightforward activities, within established procedures, in order to ensure efficient delivery of services. Monitors task completion to agreed quality and time standards.

About You (essential requirements for the role):

  • B2 written and spoken English
  • Degree in any subject or 2 years’ experience in B2B customer service environment
  • Expert-Level MS Office Skills
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a client-facing role
