Job Summary

Working closely alongside and reporting directly into the Resourcing Director with a dotted line into the Senior Operations Manager, we are looking for an experienced Resource Manager to provide strategic resource planning, forecasting and reporting across the Middle East practice areas, covering our offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

The chosen candidate will act as the focal point for Resourcing, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including the business heads of multiple business units within the Middle East. To be successful you will also need to build relationships with the senior leadership team (MDs/‘Partners’) in each business area and build your knowledge and awareness of the talent within their respective teams.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenging role in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly professional company and will have experience in dealing with tight deadlines, multitasking and the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of seniority.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to person for the Middle East business for staffing matters across all countries in the region
  • Help the business units assess and plan future resource requirements, driving utilisation, based on a thorough understanding of both current and future project pipeline.
  • Effectively plan for and advise on staffing conflicts and issues, on a regular basis, prioritising based on commercial needs and key skill set available
  • Build strong relationships across the Middle East business with internal stakeholders including senior management, Operations, Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Learning & Development teams
  • Input into the delivery of management reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Flag and effectively plan to mitigate risks associated with utilisation levels that are either too high or too low
  • Help build management information to inform resource hiring and strategic decisions
  • Build awareness of our individual professional’s performance goals and development needs
  • Make resourcing decisions that further the continuation of business and individual skill-set development
  • Ensure relevant resourcing systems are kept up to date on a regular basis
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Units in other regions, solving staffing requests where local resource options are not available
  • Coordinate with the EMEA Resource Manager responsible for subcontractors and senior advisors

Personal Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Resource Management role

  • Previous experience using a Resource Management/Planning tool (e.g. Retain) would be highly advantageous
  • Fluent English speaker is essential, proficiency in Arabic would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish credible working relationships across the range of key stakeholders (e.g., leadership, senior management, and wider employee groups) in the Middle East
  • Collaborate with the EMEA HR team members to drive a holistic people service offering, you will join the broader Business Partnering team
  • To act as an advocate and champion for our core values
  • Take ownership of operational activities (e.g., GCC pension enrolments, benchmarking, benefits maintenance, policy creation)To think commercially and creatively to identify and deliver ways in which people initiatives and projects can add value to the business
  • Consult with senior stakeholders to drive change, improve organisational effectiveness, identify areas of development and implement people strategies
  • Partner with stakeholders on the continuous performance management process to maximise performance improvement and career development (e.g., receive high quality feedback in real-time, ongoing check-ins with performance managers etc), to coach colleagues through the process
  • Collaborate with People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams to support on promotion, internal transfer and new hire offer & onboarding processes
  • Identify trends; initiate and drive plans to resolve complex issues in the areas of training, compensation, staffing, and employee relations to ensure fairness and legal compliance
  • Leverage tools to provide metrics, analysis and reporting to the practice that will help drive people decisions such as engagement, turnover and recruiting metrics
  • People Development – help leaders identify gaps in skills for team members, and work with leaders to create a plan to address, in conjunction with our Learning & Development colleagues
  • Proactively address employee relations issues with leaders, provide guidance and ensure consistency in approach and mitigating risk for the firm
  • To continuously develop an understanding of the business, its needs, objectives, commercial pressures, challenges, and create bespoke solutions

The Requirements

We are looking for people who have:

  • A high-grade bachelor’s degree (or equivalent/higher) from an accredited top-tier university (business/management, human resources, organizational behaviour or similar disciplines are preferred but not essential)
  • 6+ years of prior HR & business partner experience in a professional services industry
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
